Amasra is a small harbour town on the Black Sea coast of Türkiye, in Bartın province. Most visitors know it as a summer destination, with its two bays, its old castle walls and its fish restaurants. In winter it is a very different place. The crowds are gone, the sea is rough and dark, and when snow falls the rooftops, the boats in the harbour and the hills around the town turn white.
