Business and Corporate Portraits in Istanbul
Unlike studio-style headshot photography, our corporate and business portraiture is photographed as a personal photo session. It can be done individually or in groups, and it takes place where you work or in a location that suits your profession.
This kind of session is a good choice if you need headshots and portraits for your portfolio, CV, LinkedIn profile or company website, or images to support your public relations. Rather than standing against a standard white background, you are photographed in a business street or an indoor environment, which gives more approachable, informal images.
Following a consultation, we decide together where to photograph. Sessions can take place on location, at your office or outdoors, depending on your request.
What Is a Business Headshot Photoshoot?
A professional headshot typically means a portrait of a person showing their head and shoulders. It is most often used on a company’s “about us” page or on social media profiles, and it is sometimes called a “head and shoulders” portrait or a “profile portrait”. A good headshot is simple: clean light, a calm background, a natural expression and a sharp focus on the eyes.
Framing and Style
Clients sometimes ask for a three-quarter length portrait or even a full-length one. This is something to discuss when we first organise the session, because it affects the choice of location and clothing.
The other thing to consider before the session is the style of the headshot. A lawyer or a financial adviser may want a formal, classic look, while a designer or a start-up founder may prefer something relaxed. Final images can be delivered in both colour and black and white.
How to Prepare for Your Session
- Choose plain clothes in solid colours. Busy patterns and large logos distract from your face.
- Bring a second outfit, for example one formal and one smart casual, so you have a choice of images.
- Make sure clothes are ironed and fit well around the collar and shoulders.
- Think about where the images will be used. A LinkedIn profile picture is cropped tightly, while a website banner needs space around you.
- For team sessions, agree on a common dress code and background so the portraits look consistent together.
