A winter wonderland is a special setting for wedding photography, and Prague is beautiful in every season. In December the city centre is decorated for Christmas, the markets are open, the streets are lit from the late afternoon, and with a little luck there is snow on the rooftops and bridges.
Winter sessions have some practical advantages too. The sun stays low all day, so the light is soft, and well-known places such as Charles Bridge and the Old Town are much quieter in the early morning than in summer. Couples usually bring a warm coat or a shawl to wear between shots, and we plan short breaks indoors to warm up.
Here you can see some photos from winter in Prague, with the Christmas decorations around the city.

Thinking about a winter wedding or pre-wedding photoshoot in Prague? December weekends are in demand, so it is best to book your date early.
